From Friday January 12th, 2024, at 1pm from Saundersfoot Medical Practice we launched our Walk Talk Walk campaign.  It is part of a global effort to improve mental and physical health through weekly meet-ups for walks.  Any ability is welcome!  Come and join us from 12.50pm every Friday outside the surgery.

Benefits of Regular Physical Exercise

Saundersfoot Medical Centre is proud to be an Active Practice.  We not only help our patients to lead a healthier lifestyle both physically and mentally, but we, as a staff have adopted a similar approach.  

What is an Active Practice?

As a practice we recognise the health benefits of regular physical activity and breaking up time seated or lying awake. We have been awarded for achieving the RCGP Active Practice Charter by making the following active changes:

  • Reducing sedentary behaviour in staff,
  • Reducing sedentary behaviour in patients,
  • Increasing physical activity in staff, 
  • Increasing physical activity in patients,
  • Being part of an active community.

parkrun

Our nearest parkrun takes place Saturday mornings at 9 a.m. at Colby Woodland Gardens, near Amroth.  It is free to take part, but you should register before arrival.  Further information and registration details can be found here. Please remember, we all take part for our own enjoyment. Please come along and join in whatever your pace!
